Dance Bytes Documentary Film Project

The goal of this film project is to document how social distancing is affecting the world of dance, by featuring self-submitted stories from dancers all over the world. This call is open to any and all dancers, including students and non-professionals, however, I am only able to accept submissions from dancers over the age of 18. I am also only able to include submissions recorded in English language at this time. If you would like to participate, please complete this form and submit a video recording that includes the following:

  1. A horizontal close up of yourself answering the question: How has social distancing affected you as a dancer? Please keep your answer brief and under one minute.
  2. A short recording of yourself dancing (aim for about 30 seconds). This does not need to be a grand performance, even a few steps from class will do. I just want to be able to see how you are moving in your current space.

Please note that your submissions will be edited together with others as part of this film, and I may not include your full recording. All film participants will be invited to preview the film and raise any concerns before the final release.

This project is currently open for submissions, please email me at if you have any questions.
